In addition to being the sports director at KUIK-AM 1360 in Hillsboro, and since 2009 has served as the radio voice of Washington County high school sports, Matt has been busing calling Hillsboro Hops baseball games on Fox Sports 620 AM. He is also the radio play-by-play voice of Pacific University footballand basketball, and fills in for hoops broadcasts for the University of Portland. Since 2000, Matt has called numerous state high school championship broadcasts on the OSAA Radio Network, osaa.tv and OAB Network.

Matt got his first sportscasting experience at the age of nine, keeping stats for his father Steven (who is retired last year after 42 years at KELA-AM in Centralia-Chehalis) on high school sportscasts in Southwest Washington. He graduated to on-air work doing halftime and post-game updates as a teenager, before making his play-by-play debut in college.

Matt graduated from the University of Washington, worked in market research in Seattle and Kansas City, and worked for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games in 1996. He returned to the Northwest in 1998 and began pursuing his lifelong interest in sports broadcasting, with stops at radio stations in Mount Vernon, Wash. (while simultaneously working as associate sports editor at the Everett Herald newspaper) and Astoria, Ore.

Scott Hermo is a familiar voice to local sports fans. He has been doing color commentary for High School Football, Basketball and Baseball since 1994. He currently joins Matt Richert for color commentary for Pacific Boxer Football as well. Scott Hermo was the color analyst for Linfield football broadcasts in 1998. He helped produce and host the Oregon Prep Report on KLX Radio from 2000-2001 and again in 2003. In addition, Scott Hermo has been a voice on the OSAA Radio Network for each of the last three years.
